| Survival Instruction
Aquatic Survival and Self-Rescue Instruction is taught to children from 6 months to 6 years old. The primary focus of Survival Instruction is to teach your child to float - rotate - propel to safety. A secondary "bi-product" of Survival Instruction for your child is a healthy respect for the power of water as well as an enjoyment of the recreational qualities that aquatic self-reliance provides. Survival Instructors qualified through the NRAI are "Certified" Child Drowning Prevention Specialists (CDPS). General Swim Instruction
General Swim lessons provide stylized swim lessons for older students and allow all students to become comfortable with the aquatic environment. This category of aquatic instruction is for parents who desire a slower (or more gradual) approach to swim lessons for their child. It is also for young children seeking to become stronger swimmers or who desire to begin stylized lessons; learning such elective strokes as butterfly, Australian crawl, backstroke, breast stroke, and underwater swim.
