Child Drowning Prevention Specialist Training Summary Each applicant must be accepted following two interviews (one interview is with CDP and the other is with the assigned Principal Instructor) and fill out the personal information form in full. Applicant is responsible for the training fee and all applicant's expenses. Each student instructor receives a minimum of 16 hours per week of hands
on in-water experience with a variety of children, ages 6 months to 6
years, over a 5-6 week period. The training program includes instruction
in teaching breath control, propulsion, rollover to float position, stabilization of float, breathing,
